About Us

L&M Heating and Cooling was founded in 2014. We are a family owned business that treats our clients like family. Our employees have over 15 years of HVAC experience and proudly install Trane products because they are built in the United States. We serve Monmouth, Middlesex, Union, and Somerset County.

Our company meets all Environmental Protection Agency regulations. As a result, rebates are offered through the NJ Clean Energy Rebate Program. Financing is available through Wells Fargo.

Licenses

L&M Heating has many licenses because we take heating and cooling seriously. We want to ensure we are able to provide you with the best possible service. Our licenses include a NJ HVAC Master’s License, a NJ HIC License, a High Pressure Black Steam License, and a Blue Seal Refrigeration License.

In order to maintain a NJ HVAC Master’s License, we have to take 5 credits of NJ State Board of Examiners of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Contractors-approved continuing education every two years.

An NJ Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) License is granted to all qualified home improvement contractors.

The High Pressure Black Steam License is granted to contractors who are certified to work on boilers over 100 hp and more than 15 pounds pressure steam. For the High Pressure Black Steam License, a high-pressure boiler operator must go through a Bureau of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Compliance approved intensive 6 week training program that was established by the Chief Engineer.

L&M also has a Blue Seal Refrigeration License, which is required for refrigeration systems that are flammable or toxic. To qualify for the blue Seal Refrigeration license, a contractor must have 6 months experience handling equipment with between 24 and 65 tons of a toxin refrigerant.
